Microsoft Releases Windows 10 Cumulative Updates KB, KB, KB
When I run vulnerability scans against our servers, both DCs come back with missing KB according to Nessus because the following registry key is not set which it’s not I checked. When I manually download this update and run it, windows says it’s already installed. I can’t figure out how to tell if it really is installed or not. I can manually add that key and the vulnerability will no longer show up, but I really would like to know if I actually have that update installed or not.
I read to run wmic qfe list to see what KBs I have installed, and I do not see these in the list – not really sure what that command checks. You can check the windows update history to see if it got installed successfully. As to the nessus discrepancy you may need to ask them about it. KB is the June cumulative update. I’d check if you happen to have a later update, since they’re now cumulative each new monthly update contains new fixes plus all of the previous monthly fixes.

Nessus did response and basically said they are looking for that specific registry key which does not exist and if I added it manually then it would no longer show up as a result.
Even though the cumulative patches have been installed, they must not update the registry key that Nessus is looking for to determine the patch level.
